CHICAGO, Sept. 26, 2018 — ArrowStream, Inc. (“ArrowStream”), a foodservice supply chain innovator whose leading software and services have tripled customer growth and contributed to a 100% renewal rate, recently hosted its fourth annual Executive Summit in Chicago with a select group of industry thought-leaders from CKE Restaurant Holdings, ARCOP, Dairy Queen, CraftWorks Restaurant & Breweries, Buffalo Wild Wings, Shake Shack, Church’s Chicken, and many more.
The annual event serves as an important part of the ArrowStream core mission, enabling customers to tap into the collective expertise of peers and trading partners to build best practices, discuss future trends, and drive business innovation. Companies who are not yet leveraging ArrowStream’s solutions were also in attendance to learn more about the technology and meet the team.
“Hands down this was our best Summit yet,” said Jeff Dorr, Chief Customer Officer, ArrowStream. “The networking and idea sharing among our attendees was outstanding, as were our sessions, which were also interactive and thought provoking. We were thrilled to hear from our clients just how much our solutions are transforming how they do business.”
The Executive Summit puts a spin on the typical conference structure by utilizing a variety of session formats that maximize attendee participation. Over 80% of the Summit presentation time was driven by attendees. One popular session format was the Customer Spotlight where ArrowStream customers shared dynamic ways they are leveraging ArrowStream’s software solutions.
Jennifer Silveira, Vice President of Supply Chain at Ninety Nine Restaurant & Pub, participated in one of those Customer Spotlight sessions. “It was great to share a few of our many ‘wins’ from working with ArrowStream and to gain fresh ideas from other customers,” said Silveira. “From identifying new suppliers to deploying a better quality issue management process, I found all of the topics to be meaningful.”
In addition to the Customer Spotlight sessions, industry experts and multi-customer panels promoted thoughtful discussions throughout the Summit. David Maloni, ArrowStream’s Executive Vice President of Analytics, addressed leveraging data science in foodservice, highlighting opportunities and strategies based on his latest commodity market outlook. Highlights from the panels included technology-enabled strategic sourcing, guidance for emerging restaurant chains, international expansion considerations, and next-generation programs underway in distribution.
Pat Fries, Vice President of Supply Chain at the emerging brand, Slim Chickens, also acknowledged the value of the Executive Summit. “ArrowStream is more than a technology company to us, they are a partner in helping us achieve success in supply chain. This event continues to confirm they are committed to providing their clients with cutting-edge technology and tools. Specifically, the solutions they are delivering will help Slim Chickens pave the way and enable our expansion goals and future business.”
Laura Shelley, Director of Supply Chain Management at The Krystal Company and first time attendee, said, “I was very excited to be a part of the Summit. To connect and collaborate with such amazing concepts and foodservice professionals was a great experience. I enjoyed the networking as much as the Summit content, which was very relevant to how we run our business.”
A consistent theme from attendees was the speed in which technologies are converging, delivering an end-to-end approach to supply chain management and empowering restaurants to improve the customer experience through consistent, high-quality product and service delivery.
“Foodservice supply chain executives understand all the moving parts that can impact customer satisfaction and the bottom line,” said Tim Miller, Vice President of Supply Chain at Smashburger. “ArrowStream’s technology allows us to gain deeper and more immediate visibility to critical data and insights, ensuring products are in the right place, at the right time, at the right price.”
“Our customers are completely engaged in our current solutions and future roadmap. They know that we have to win at this together and have become our biggest advocates and influencers of the technology we deliver,” said Dorr. “The Summit is becoming a highly anticipated gathering of some of the most influential leaders in foodservice.”
Plans for the fifth annual Executive Summit are already underway and will be held in Chicago, IL, during the summer of 2019. More information will be released in the upcoming months.
